The story behind HPSS
Auction founders Robin & Sam Versteijnen, owners of Wielbraek Stables and the Hunter Pony Academy, have over fifteen years of experience in running their successful training and sales showjumping stables. While Sam is known for producing talented young horses, Robin has a huge passion for talented and trustworthy ponies. What started as a love for finding beautiful, reliable ponies and educating them to the best of their ability, has developed into a stable full of incredible ponies that have already found their forever homes all over the world.

In our auction you’ll find ponies carrying the ‘Hunterfied by HPA’ label. These ponies follow a dedicated program at The Hunter Pony Academy (HPA), based at Wielbraek Stables, focused on developing childproof hunter ponies for long-term success in the U.S. hunter ring.
Guided by top U.S. hunter professionals and USHJA Affiliates, the program ensures all training, clinics, and show experience meet USHJA/USEF Pony Hunter standards. Trained by both junior riders and professionals, our ponies gain valuable kids-miles while building correct and consistent skills from the start.
